At Marshmallow Minds, our mission is simple yet urgent: to ensure every child, especially those in under-resourced schools and communities, has access to the knowledge and skills needed for future-ready, STEAM*-enabled careers. By combining problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration, Design Thinking empowers students, especially English learners and those from low-income families, to succeed in a competitive landscape.

STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math

In the 2024–2025 school year, we engaged more than 6,000 students and donated over 13,000 hours of student scholarships, representing a remarkable 68% increase from the previous year. Through hands-on STEAM lessons with robots, STEAM kits, and creative projects, students are building the skills and confidence to thrive in a scientific and innovative future. Even in the face of the pandemic, we adapted quickly, delivering programs at the very moment students and teachers needed them most.

And now, with your support, we are ready to do it again.

We’re raising funds to reach 10,000 students from under-resourced schools, children growing up just miles from Silicon Valley, yet worlds apart in opportunity.

With your gift, these students don’t just gain access to tools and technology; they discover the confidence to dream bigger, the curiosity to keep exploring, and the belief that their future can be limitless.

Here's how your support makes a direct impact:

  • $1000 - funds our future-ready, hands-on STEAM and Design Thinking program for one whole classroom for one school year
  • $500 - provides Hands-on STEAM kits and supplies for one whole classroom for one school year
  • $250 - sponsors one student, 50 hours of transformative future-ready learning experiences from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th gradegrade.
  • $100 - provides printed design and math journal for one whole classroom for one school year
  • $50 - ensures every student’s effort is celebrated with a simple treat like stickers and healthy snacks
